The IELTS group course is taught live online in classes of at most 6 students, 45 hours in all (30 lessons of 90 minutes), and every lesson is recorded. The next group starts January 4, 2027; enroll by January 1, 2027. One-to-one tutoring suits a close test date, a single weak section or a fixed schedule that a group cannot meet.

IELTS Academic has four parts: Listening (about 30 minutes, 40 questions), Reading (60 minutes), Writing (60 minutes) and Speaking (11–14 minutes). Each is scored in half bands from 0 to 9, and the overall band is their average. IELTS is withdrawing paper-based testing from mid-2026, on timelines that vary by country.

How IELTS scores work
- Each skill gets a band from 0 to 9 in half bands; the overall band is the average of the four, rounded to the nearest half band — 6.5, 6.5, 6.0 and 7.0 average to 6.5.
- Institutions often set a minimum band in each skill as well as an overall band, so a strong average does not always meet the requirement.
- One Skill Retake lets you retake one skill within 60 days.
- Paper-based IELTS is being withdrawn from mid-2026, on timelines that vary by country. The test is computer-delivered, with Writing on Paper in selected markets.
Mistakes that cost marks
- Preparing for a higher band than the course requires, which costs weeks the rest of the application needed.
- Memorizing Speaking answers. A memorized answer rarely fits the question actually asked.
- Spreading preparation evenly instead of targeting the skill furthest from its minimum.
- Losing Listening and Reading marks to spelling and to not following the instructions exactly.
