Changed from the previous format

  • The previous (10th) edition was scored 200–800; those scores are not comparable with the 205–805 scale.
  • The current 11th edition was first given in November 2023; GMAC dropped its launch name on 1 July 2024 and calls it simply the GMAT Exam.

GMAT mock tests: common questions

Are these full-length GMAT mock tests?

Yes. Each practice test is a full-length mock of the GMAT Exam: 64 questions in 2 hours 15 minutes across Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Data Insights. Questions adapt to your answers, you choose the section order, and you can change up to three answers per section, as on test day. They are TestPrep's tests, written to the current format; GMAC's own official practice exams are sold on mba.com.

Is there a free GMAT diagnostic test?

Yes. The first test in the list is a free, full-length GMAT diagnostic test, taken online with a free account. Its score report is a good starting point for a study plan.

Can I try sample GMAT questions before buying a test?

The free diagnostic test is a complete sitting, so it shows every question type on the exam before you pay for anything. The GMAT question bank adds practice questions by topic.

How is a GMAT practice test scored?

The score report estimates your total on the GMAT Exam's 205–805 scale and each section on its 60–90 scale, and shows every question with your answer. It is an estimate from a practice test; only the GMAT Exam itself gives an official score.
