How it works

  1. 1. A free consultation

A free consultation to go through your goals, your timeline and the options. It is not a lesson and not a test.

  2. 2. Your starting point

It depends on the program. SAT, GMAT, GRE, IELTS, TOEFL and PTE start with a free practice test in the current format, taken before the plan is written. IB, AP and IGCSE have no equivalent single test, so the first lesson assesses your level against your own recent work — that lesson is paid at the normal rate, not a free trial. For ACT, LSAT, SSAT, UCAT, LNAT, IMAT and A Level, how your starting point is reviewed is agreed at the free consultation.

  3. 3. A plan and a tutor

After the consultation, a plan for your test date and your starting point. Tutors are matched to the exam you are preparing for at the free consultation.

  4. 4. Lessons

One-to-one lessons are 90 minutes, live and online. Group courses, where one is offered, have at most 6 students, and their lessons are recorded.

Refunds
Full (100%) refund if you are not satisfied after your first private lesson, or after the first week of a group course.
Cancellation
A private lesson can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 3 hours before it starts. A lesson cancelled later than that counts as taught and is not refunded, and a lesson whose fee is still unpaid 3 hours before it starts is cancelled automatically.
Scores
No score is guaranteed. Results depend on your starting point, your test date and the work between lessons.

The binding wording is in the Terms of Service.

Who teaches

Tutors are matched to the exam you are preparing for at the free consultation.

We are publishing the TestPrep USA tutor list — each tutor's name, degree and university, the year they began teaching and exactly what they teach. Until it is up, ask about the tutor for your exam at the free consultation.

TestPrep USA and the TestPrep Group

TestPrep USA is the US-facing brand of the TestPrep Group, which has taught test preparation since 2008. Figures and student results published on this site that belong to the group are labelled as the group's: the records on the results page come from TestPrep Group students based in Türkiye, not from TestPrep USA students. TestPrep USA has not published results of its own yet.

How the information on this site is checked

Exam formats are read on each exam owner's own website, and every page that states them shows its sources and the date they were last checked (most recently September 24, 2026). Prices come from the same price list that checkout charges. The full process, and how to report an error, is in the editorial policy.
