What the course includes
- 40 hours of live instruction
- All 4 skills covered
- Speaking mock tests
- Writing feedback
- Practice tests included
How it runs
- A fixed curriculum taught live online to a small group, following a schedule set before the course starts, so you know every session date in advance.
- Maximum six students per class. Small enough that the instructor knows where each student is, and that a question in week three can change what happens in week four.
- The same instructors who teach our one-to-one students, and the same materials — including full-length practice tests and their score reports.
- Recordings of each session, so a missed class or a section worth re-watching is not lost.
Is this the right format for you?
Take the IELTS course if
- You are starting more or less from the beginning and want the whole syllabus covered in order.
- A fixed weekly commitment helps you keep going. For many students the schedule is the actual product.
- You have three or more months before your test date.
- You learn something from hearing other students' questions, which is most people.
Book private tutoring instead if
- Your test is in under six weeks. A course covers everything; you need the two things that are wrong.
- You have already scored close to your target and are chasing a specific band. Group pacing cannot be built around one student's gaps.
- Your available hours move week to week. A course has a schedule, and missing sessions wastes most of its value.
- You want to work only on one section. Private tutoring is cheaper than a full course if that is all you need.
Group course FAQs
- How many students are in a class?
- Six at most. That cap is what makes the format work — it is small enough for the instructor to know where each student is, and to give feedback on written work rather than only on multiple choice.
- What happens if I miss a session?
- Every session is recorded and stays available for the length of the course, so a missed class can be caught up. If you expect to miss several, private tutoring is usually the better fit, because a course's value is largely in its continuity.
- Are practice tests included?
- Yes. Full-length practice tests are part of every group course, along with the score reports, and sessions are built around reviewing them. Reviewing a test is where most of the improvement happens, and it is the part students skip when working alone.
- Can I pay in instalments?
- Yes, on most courses. The instalment plan splits the fee into monthly charges starting at checkout; the total is slightly higher than paying once. Both figures are shown on each course page.
- Is a group course as effective as private tutoring?
- For a student starting the syllabus from the beginning with several months in hand, usually yes, and for a fraction of the cost. For a student six weeks out chasing a specific score, no — that student needs hours aimed at their own gaps, which a fixed curriculum cannot do.
- What if I am not sure which is right for me?
- Sit a free diagnostic first. The score report shows how far you are from your target and whether the gap is broad or narrow, and that answers the question better than any description can.
